Meeniyan Garlic Festival

Now in its 5th year, the annual Meeniyan Garlic Festival draws in thousands of festival-goers to celebrate the region’s high-quality garlic and produce. The festival aims to connect Gippsland and Melbourne with fine food offerings, great garlic and great produce, making this a one-off opportunity to explore the food and beverage of the whole region.

Boasting more than two tonnes of garlic, the festival will showcase 15 garlic growers from across Victoria for locals and out-of-towners to taste and enjoy. In 2023, Meeniyan Garlic Festival held masterclasses and expert wine matchings from award-winning Gippsland winemakers. A new addition to this year’s festival, the Gippsland Wine Academy offered a curated list of over 30 wines. The masterclasses showcased the variety and uniqueness of Gippsland’s wine production and cuisine.
