Melbourne Fringe Festival

Zilla & Brook has worked with Melbourne Fringe Festival for eight years, showcasing hundreds of diverse events and boundary-pushing artists. In 2024 this included promoting the Festival’s provocation, Eat Your Art Out, inviting audiences to break bread together, immerse themselves in art and come together over a meal.

This included promoting Melbourne Fringe’s 2024 Civic Commission project, COOKED, by Long Prawn, a major new series of events at Fed Square. The iconic amphitheatre was transformed into a public dining meets performance space.

Theatre renegades and Festival favourites Pony Cam premiered a brand-new work called FEAST, and the Opening Night Gala rolled out the purple carpet with the theme ‘culinary couture.’

The Festival presented over 470 events from 1 - 20 October, and the PR campaign achieved a PR value of over $14M and an audience reach of over 29M.

For 20 days each year, the Melbourne Fringe Festival invites audiences to discover the unexpected with a bold and ambitious program of art and performance across the city in theatres, galleries, venues, public spaces, homes, studios and everywhere in between. Featuring a curated program of large-scale public events and risk taking art, and an open access program with over 450 events, it is one of the largest multi-arts festivals in the country.
