Melbourne Ballet Company’s celebrates 10th anniversary with Being & Time at Hawthorn Arts Centre

Melbourne Ballet Company returns to the Hawthorn Arts Centre in March 2017 to present an exhilarating contemporary ballet, Being & Time, marking the company’s ten year anniversary.

Company Director Simon Hoy has choreographed Being & Time with internationally acclaimed dance makers Tim Podesta (South African Ballet Theatre, Projection Dance) and Lucas Jervies (Australian Ballet, Scapino Ballet, Sydney Dance Company).

The three choreographers take inspiration from German philosopher Heidegger’s views on existentialism, exploring their own behaviours and emotions in Being & Time.

Alexander Baden Bryce has been a member since 2009 and prior to this was awarded a scholarship to Taipei International Dance Elite Academy in Taiwan.
